Autumn Execution #2: The Heroine’s Lament (M1234567m2000)

Following the tragic execution of the warrior Xu Ningxin, the narrative follows executioner Qin Xiaoyi's grim professional life as he oversees the scheduled execution of Zhang Zhou-shi, a woman convicted of killing a neighbor's child. Despite her hysterical state, the bailiffs forcibly revive her to ensure she is conscious for the blade as mandated by the brutal laws of Huizhou. The execution team performs traditional rituals, including consecrating the blade with wine and casting the command arrow, before the final beheading.
