Samson, a cruel master, subjects his slaves to relentless physical and psychological torment, employing heated needles, brands, and other brutal devices to break their will. He views their suffering as a reward, training them through pain and threats—including the use of frenzied snakes—to become irreversible "true slaves." His henchmen participate in this regime of torture, where forced acts and deep, often fatal, marks are a standard measure of obedience.
