After being returned to Earth following horrific extraterrestrial experimentation, Chrissy is tricked by the witch of Uh Ruth into signing a thousand-year servitude contract under false pretenses, and her rebellion is crushed by supernatural authority. The witch and her ally treat Chrissy and other victims as mere inventory, assigning them serial numbers and planning to sell them to depraved buyers. As the captors continue cataloging their human stock, a mundane domestic squabble over ruined flowers provides a jarring contrast to the systematic dehumanization unfolding.
