After their house burns down, a deeply disturbed mother hits the road with her socially stunted son Jimmy, hunting for young women to serve as his sexual partners under the delusion of building the perfect family. When they pick up a female hitchhiker, the mother grooms and pressures her to abandon her boyfriend, and a violent struggle inside the car leads to a crash.
