Medical Experimentation in Pagetsburgh (Harry Paget)

Synopsis

Medical research in much of the world is significantly hampered by animal welfare regulations and the activities of various anti animal research pressure groups. No such problems exist here in the Independent Duchy of Pagetshire where our scientific community uses slaves for their experiments. Cheap and readily available, slaves are used by our researchers to further the boundaries of knowledge unimpeded by considerations of the pain and suffering caused to their laboratory animals. A healthy slave can be kept alive for days or even weeks while new data is gathered and then an autopsy performed without the need for the subject to be dead. So much more can be learned by the dissection of a live slave rather than a lifeless cadaver.
