Trapped in the collapsing Mountain of Light, operative Adam Bradford and a group of 1849-era survivors race to rescue the telepath Evy from the dying Sinthikaar, who planned to use her as a power source for their escape. With the facility crumbling and a terminal countdown accelerating, the survivors gamble on the aliens’ malfunctioning time-travel technology, only to find themselves stranded in the ancient past after the energy fails. Emerging into a desolate landscape, they realize humanity is gone, leaving them as the last remnants tasked with restarting civilization.
