In 1989 Cleveland, a CIA unit discovers they are pawns in an alien evolutionary experiment, with a comatose girl serving as a telekinetic conduit for physical manifestations born from their leader Wallin’s fractured psyche. When the girl awakens prematurely, triggering a catastrophic surge, the team forces the indifferent extraterrestrial observers to initiate a neural reset, using her as a conduit to turn her power against a lethal contagion. As the high-risk procedure begins, the team confronts the ethical weight of her exploitation and the impossible task of explaining these reality-altering events to a recovering Wallin.
