Bessie Lee arrives at her aunt's notorious "Torture Manor," where she is subjected to cruel punishments for perceived familial slights. The aunt, aided by her servant, escalates the torment with devices like the scold's bridle before introducing her ultimate instrument: the Magnificent Shakner. As the torture reaches a brutal crescendo, the line between punishment and perverse pleasure within the manor's walls begins to blur.
