Following the destruction of the *Toranis* and a genocidal Yeetran assault, the crew was captured by "The Restoration," a technologically superior faction. Their captors, led by the entity "The Proto," harvest neural systems to consume human emotion, while the catastrophe that enabled their imprisonment stems from pilot Xan’s failed attempt to repair a Hypergate. As the facility descends into chaos from internal instability, Xenospectre incursions, and the captors’ brutal interrogation of the protagonist—who struggles with amnesia and hidden loyalties—tensions explode over a recovered transmitter, threatening collapse and escape.
