Canceled Pardon (Cruel World)

A woman named Simonya is told her amnesty has been canceled and she is to be hanged. She protests that the sentence was issued yesterday and tries to appeal again, but is refused. The guard forces her to undress, put her hands behind her back, and prepare her for execution, using rubber bands for her hair. She pleads and resists, but is ignored.
